3. Prevention and Control

• Workshops and training courses on entomological aspects of VTDs and mollusk hosts in populations at risk.
• The design and elaboration of booklets containing basic information and prevention strategies of VTDs such as Leishmaniasis, Malaria, Dengue, Paragonimosis and Fasciolosis, among others.
• Design, execution and evaluation of prevention and control measures for tropical diseases.
• Selection and evaluation of rational, cost-effective measures for the control of mosquito and phlebotomine vectors in communities.
• Evaluation of the impact and residuality of control measures.
• Evaluation of susceptibility to insecticide and repellent products in the laboratory and on the field.
• Attention of epidemic outbrakes of Leishmaniasis in high-risk municipalities or regions.
